Oasis sounded unapologetically British, used British references, and didn’t soften their image for anyone. The world came to them anyway.

Oasis openly wore their influences on their sleeves.
The Beatles, The Stone Roses, glam rock, and classic British pop were all baked in. They didn’t hide it or apologise. Borrow loudly, play louder.

“Wonderwall” was never meant to be the Oasis song.
At the time, Noel Gallagher thought other tracks would overshadow it. Instead, it became one of the most overplayed, beloved, and argued-about songs of all time. Acoustic guitars everywhere are still paying the price.

The Gallagher brothers’ feud was real, constant, and oddly productive.
Noel wrote the songs, Liam delivered them with sneering charisma, and the tension between them became part of the sound. When they stopped arguing, the band stopped working. That’s not a coincidence.
